19 Officers ( Officer Trainees fromall the three services of the Armed Forces) presently undergoing the 43rdHigher Air Command Course of different States of the country had a briefingsession with Sh. Mukesh Singh-IPS Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, atZonal Police Headquarters, Jammu here today.

During interaction, IGP Jammu Zone briefed the officers withregard to the challenges being faced by police/security forces in view ofmilitancy, Crime and Law and order front in the State. He also briefed theofficers regarding the role of J&K Police in border management both alongthe IB as well as along the LOC. He briefed those regarding different phases ofmilitancy in Jammu region and the role played by the J&K Police incountering the militancy.

IG Jammu also explained them the importance of humanintelligence as well as technical intelligence in countering the terroristactivities as well as in maintaining law and order. The development in theJammu region post abrogation of Article 370 and Art- 35A and steps taken by JKPin this regard was also explained.

Mr. Singh responded to the queries of the officers onvarious aspects of policing, social media management and de-radicalisation.
